Leadership Survey being conducted
"A study is currently being conducted to determine the prevalence of leadership training & officer development programs within individual fire departments in the United States & Canada. The survey will ask about current, future & past practices in the development and implementation of such programs as well as explore the current leadership practices as perceived by both leadership & line personnel. The survey is voluntary, anonymous, and participants are able to exit the survey at any time without penalty. An invitation for interview or to join a focus group on the issue of leadership in the fire service is issued as the conclusion of the survey. Participants are under no obligation to provide this information. The data collected from this tool and process will be used to provide recommendations for best practices for leadership training and officer development in the fire service and will be made available to all parties requesting the results. Any questions may be directed to redshelly@wi.rr.com. Please follow the link provided to participate: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/fireserviceleadershipsurvey I would also ask if you would be so kind as to pass this allow to members of your organization past & present. The only requirement to take the survey is that the participant have been a member of the fire service at some point in his/her life. The paragraph above the link can be copied for use in explaining the point of the survey. Thank you so much for your consideration for this project." Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or would like a copy of the finished piece. Thank you for your consideration :)

Mt Carmel VFD Looking for Pumper
The Mt. Carmel Vol. Fire Department is looking for a pumper. The truck needs to have at least a 1000 GPM pump, a diesel engine, air brakes, and the tank can be of any size. We do not want anything with a steel tank. We are looking for something with a cost of around $20,000 or less.  The department has struggled finding a dependable engine over the past five or six years that we can afford due to budget restraints. We have been turned down for all grants that have been applied for, and we must get a decent engine in the station. If anyone has a truck for sale or knows of one please contact my self or my Assistant Chief.
